Our Story

Ekubo is the Luganda word for path.

Founded in 2011 by George and Christie Magera, Ekubo Ministries is a Jesus-exalting, Gospel-centered community working in villages across Uganda. The name carries the calling. We walk the path alongside the lost, the orphaned, and the overlooked, and we help build the path for those still to come.

Today, more than 350 children receive an education through our primary school and secondary and university sponsorships. Vulnerable children find a safe home while we work to reunite them with family. Village by village, the path opens.

Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way, walk in it."Isaiah 30:21
